UP TO THE MINUTE UPDATE: New Employment Poster Required as of August 2nd!
The Maine Department of Labor (MDOL) has issued a new poster about human trafficking which you can find HERE. Employers are required to display this poster in the workplace as of August 2, 2018.
While you’re downloading, printing and putting up that poster, take a look at the MDOL’s website to ensure that your office is up to date on all of the State of Maine required posters (including posters on minimum wage, sexual harassment, the Whistleblowers’ Protection Act, etc.), federal government required posters (including posters on equal employment opportunity, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, etc.), and optional posters under both state and federal law.
Visit the website by clicking HERE (the URL is https://www.maine.gov/labor/posters/index.html just in case you’d rather copy and paste the URL into your browser). The posters on the MDOL site
meet the full legal requirements and can be downloaded and printed free of charge. Remember, the posters must be posted in the workplace where workers can see them.
