The firm can trace its roots back to 1853 and the law firm of Fessenden & Frye. During subsequent years, the firm underwent many name changes, gaining strength and prestige with each incarnation. As the firm evolved, the list of principals read like a historical “Who’s Who in Lewiston-Auburn.” The founding partners, including William Pierce Frye, Jonathan Cilley, J. B. Cotton and Wallace H. White, were notable figures of their time, holding high-ranking government positions in addition to providing legal counsel. Each left a legacy of leadership, professionalism and dedicated client service that continues to this day.
